You are the rainmaker and the referrals slowed down. Run outbound from one sentence, and approve every reply yourself.
The CEO or managing partner of a 10 to 50 person B2B service firm can run LinkedIn outbound without a sales hire by directing GTM Bud from Claude or ChatGPT. You describe the client you want in one sentence, check real prospects before any message is written, and read every reply to a lead before it goes out under your name.
The short answer for a service firm CEO
Yes, the CEO of a 10 to 50 person B2B service firm can run LinkedIn outbound personally, with an AI assistant, in about the time of one partner meeting a week. With GTM Bud you start a campaign from one sentence about the client you want, and you approve every reply to a lead before it is sent.
This page is for a CEO or managing partner of a consultancy, an IT services firm or an accounting advisory firm who still brings in most of the new work. It is not for a firm with a sales team. For that, read AI LinkedIn outreach for sales teams. If you want the general case for outbound in a service firm, read cold outreach for B2B services. This page covers one thing: how you run it from your own Claude or ChatGPT.
Three situations this is built for
The referrals dried up. Nothing is wrong with your work. The two or three people who sent you clients moved on. You need a second source of conversations that does not depend on who remembers you. The step by step version for this situation is in referrals dried up: an outbound plan for B2B services.
You have no time to prospect. You do not need more hours. You need the hours to go to decisions only: who to reach, what to offer, what to answer. One sentence starts the campaign, and your AI prepares each next step for your yes or no.
A past attempt embarrassed you. Someone else chose the audience and wrote the words, and you saw the result when a contact complained. Here you see real prospects before launch, you read the sequence before launch, and your AI shows you each reply and is instructed to send only the text you approve.
Five prompts a CEO can use
- “Create a campaign draft for finance directors and CFOs at owner-managed manufacturers with 100 to 400 employees in the West Midlands and East Midlands. Show me the criteria check before anything else.”
- “Read our website and my LinkedIn profile and set them as the seller profile of this draft. Tell me in three lines how you would describe what the firm does.”
- “Show me ten real prospects for this campaign. For each one, give me the role, the company and the size, and I will tell you who is a fit.”
- “Write three value offers that a 24-person advisory firm can deliver in less than one day of partner time. Do not offer a free consultation.”
- “Read the new replies. For each Interested lead, write an answer in my voice: short, no sales words, and an offer of a call with me on a Tuesday or a Thursday. Show me each one.”
A worked example: one campaign from sentence to results
The firm in this example is a 24-person accounting advisory firm that helps manufacturers shorten the month-end close. The managing partner brings in most of the work. All names are invented.
The audience sentence. “Finance directors and CFOs at owner-managed manufacturers with 100 to 400 employees in the West Midlands and East Midlands.”
What the criteria check said. The check passed the roles and the size range. It flagged one criterion: “owner-managed” cannot be read from a profile or a company page, so it suggested “privately owned manufacturers”. The managing partner accepted the rewrite and decided to look for group subsidiaries by eye in the preview. His AI then listed the counties it would treat as the two regions and asked for confirmation. The managing partner removed one county where the firm has no clients and accepted the rest.
Two previewed prospects.
- Helen M., Finance Director at a precision engineering company with about 220 employees in Coventry, owned by its founder. Marked Good fit: right role, right size, and the kind of company the firm already serves.
- Raj P., Divisional CFO at the UK plant of a listed automotive group. Marked Not a fit: the plant has 300 employees, but the close process is set by the group, so there is nothing to sell.
One value offer. “A two hour review of your last month-end close, with a written list of the five steps that add the most days.” GTM Bud gave its instructions for value offers, the AI researched the firm website and wrote the offer, and GTM Bud checked and saved it. The managing partner rejected an earlier version that promised a full process map, because a partner cannot deliver that in two hours.
One reply draft. A lead wrote: “We have auditors and they have never said our close is slow. Why would I need this?” The AI followed the account playbook (no criticism of other advisers, no price, a call with the managing partner on Thursday at 2 pm) and wrote:
“Your auditors look at whether the numbers are right, not at how many days they take. The review answers a different question: which five steps cost you the most time. If the list is not useful, you have lost two hours. Would Thursday at 2 pm work for a short call with me first?”
The managing partner changed “cost you the most time” to “take the longest” and approved the exact text. His AI then sent it.
The results question. “How is the manufacturers campaign doing as of now? How many replies are labeled Interested, and which of them have I not answered?”
Three objections CEOs raise
“My name is on this. I cannot have another round of spam.” The risk is real, and software does not remove it. What changes is who decides. You approve the audience from real examples, you read the sequence before launch, and your AI shows you every reply and is instructed to send only the text you approve. The limit is that first messages and follow-ups go out from the sequence that you approved, not one by one. So read that sequence as if each line were going to your best client.
“I do not have time to approve everything.” Then decide what gets your time. Each LinkedIn account can send up to 40 reviewed replies a day, and you will not need that many at the start. Replies are labeled Interested, Warm or Not interested, so you answer the Interested leads first and the rest in one batch. If a week is full of client work, set the campaign to follow-ups only and no new conversations start. What you should not do is hand the review to the AI. That step is designed to stay with a person.
“Our work is sold on trust. Outbound does not work for firms like ours.” A cold message does not replace trust, and this page does not promise meetings or reply numbers. Outbound gives you first conversations with people who match your best clients. The trust is still built by you, on the call and in the work. If your firm cannot name the type of client it serves best, fix that first, because no tool can write that sentence for you.
What stays outside the chat
Three things are done on gtmbud.com: connecting your LinkedIn account, choosing the sending account for a campaign, and setting the sending schedule. The 14-day free trial starts when you launch your first campaign.
Setup and the full capability list
Setup takes a few minutes: add the connector to Claude with the steps on GTM Bud for Claude, or to ChatGPT with the steps on GTM Bud for ChatGPT. In short, the connector lets your AI build a campaign, launch it after you confirm, show results for each campaign, and write replies for your review. The full list is on the GTM Bud connector page.
Why outbound feels impossible for small teams
Two people at client companies used to introduce you three or four times a year. Both changed jobs, and this quarter no introduction came
You are the only person in the firm who can sell the work, so each hour of prospecting is taken from a client meeting or a proposal
The last outbound attempt sent messages under your name that you would not have signed, and a contact you respect forwarded one back to you
A business developer costs a senior salary before the first meeting, and you would still have to teach that person what the firm does
You open LinkedIn on Monday with a plan to prospect, and you close it when the first client email arrives
That's exactly why we built GTM Bud.
How GTM Bud helps
One sentence that you write
You describe the client you want in the words you use with your partners. Your AI writes the targeting criteria from the sentence. GTM Bud checks each one, tells you which ones it cannot read from a profile, and saves the draft.
Real people before any message
You see real matching prospects and mark each one Good fit or Not a fit. If you would not want that person in your office, the audience changes before a message is written.
Your approval on every reply
Your AI writes an answer to each lead from a playbook that you approved. It shows you the answer, and GTM Bud instructs it to send only after you approve the exact text.

Frequently asked questions
Keep the decisions and give away the repetition. You write one sentence about the client you want, approve the audience from a preview of real prospects, approve the value offer and the messages, and review each reply. GTM Bud finds the leads and sends. Your own Claude or ChatGPT does the writing through the GTM Bud connector.
You read the message sequence before launch, and GTM Bud launches a campaign only after you confirm a preview. After launch, your AI shows you every reply to a lead for review, and GTM Bud instructs it to send only after you approve the exact text. First messages and follow-ups follow the sequence that you approved. They are not shown one by one.
The audience, the offer and the words are yours to approve, and nothing is hidden behind a monthly report. You see real prospects before launch and mark the ones that do not fit. This does not make a weak offer strong. If the offer is a generic call request, the result will still read like spam.
Plan for one session of about an hour to build the first campaign, and a short review session on each working day after replies start. That is an estimate for a first campaign, not a measured figure. The review time grows with the number of replies, up to 40 replies a day for each LinkedIn account.
Yes. One GTM Bud account can hold several LinkedIn sender accounts, and you choose the senders of each campaign on gtmbud.com. The person who is signed in to the GTM Bud account does the review. Each partner account is connected on gtmbud.com.
GTM Bud focuses on Sales Navigator accounts, so plan to use a LinkedIn account that has Sales Navigator. You connect the account on gtmbud.com. The 14-day free trial starts when you launch your first campaign.
