Part of your quota is self-sourced. Prospecting should not depend on a free afternoon.
An account executive with no SDR support can keep LinkedIn prospecting going on their own LinkedIn account by adding GTM Bud to Claude or ChatGPT. The campaign keeps reaching new people on the days you are in demos. Your part is about 15 minutes of reply review a day. You read the full message sequence before you confirm the launch, and your AI shows you each reply before you approve it.
The short answer for an account executive
LinkedIn prospecting for account executives fails for one reason: it is scheduled for “when there is time”, and a closing rep never has time. You can take it off your calendar without taking it out of your hands. Add the GTM Bud connector to Claude or ChatGPT, build one campaign for your territory, and let it reach new people from your LinkedIn account while you run deals. What remains for you is the part that needs your judgment: about 15 minutes a day, as a planning estimate, to read replies and approve answers.
This page is for an AE at a company with no SDR team, or with an SDR team that does not cover your segment, who carries a self-sourced pipeline target. It is not for a sales leader who directs several reps. That reader should start from AI LinkedIn outreach for sales teams.
The decision in one table
| Question | With “when there is time” | With a campaign on your account |
|---|---|---|
| Who finds the people | You, in a search tab | GTM Bud, from criteria your AI wrote and you checked |
| Who sends the first message | You, one at a time | The campaign, after you confirm the launch |
| What happens in a week with six demos | Nothing goes out | Sending continues on the schedule you set |
| Who answers a reply | You | You, from an answer your AI prepared |
| What you can show in a pipeline review | A feeling | Results for the campaign, with the as-of time |
The second column is not a failure of discipline. It is what happens to any task with no deadline next to tasks with a close date.
Three weeks this is built for
Week two of the quarter. The pipeline review shows your self-sourced line at zero. You have two free hours on Wednesday. That is enough for the build: territory sentence, preview, offer, messages, launch.
A week with back to back demos. You open the chat between calls and ask one question: which replies need an answer. You approve three and go to the next call.
The last week of the quarter. You are closing. The campaign still reaches new people on the schedule you set, so outreach for next quarter does not stop while you close. If the reply queue gets ahead of you, stop new first messages with one sentence.
Between two calls: a session
A session in Claude on a Tuesday. The tool names are real. The people are invented, and results are left out because they would be yours.

Draft, from your playbook (it holds the pilot terms, your
January slots and the rule: a "not until January" answer
gets a short reply and one concrete next step):
"A pilot is one lane and four weeks, and your team spends
about two hours on it. I can hold a slot for the second
week of January. Should I send what we need from you?"

ai classify_reply (warm)
ai classify_reply (not_interested) A worked example: one territory
Dev is an AE at a company that sells route planning software. He owns mid-market logistics accounts in the US Northeast. The names are invented.
The territory sentence. “Operations and transportation leaders at freight forwarders and regional carriers with 200 to 2,000 employees in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts.”
What the check said. His AI wrote six criteria. GTM Bud passed every one. Before the preview, the AI asked Dev one question of its own: do “transportation leaders” include fleet maintenance managers. He said no.
Two previewed people.
- Angela P., Director of Transportation at a regional carrier with about 650 employees in New Jersey. Marked Good fit.
- Sam O., Operations Analyst at a 5,000-person parcel company in Pennsylvania. Marked Not a fit: too junior, and the account belongs to the enterprise team.
The seller profile of the draft. The company website and Dev’s own LinkedIn profile, because the messages go out under his name.
One value offer. “A one page comparison of your three busiest lanes: planned miles against the shortest legal route.” The AI wrote it from GTM Bud’s instructions and the company’s public case studies. Dev checked with his manager that the company can deliver it for any lead who says yes.
The playbook rule he added. “If a lead asks for pricing, do not quote. Say that pricing depends on lane count and offer a 20 minute call on Tuesday or Thursday after 2 pm Eastern.” The AI showed the exact text, Dev approved it in the chat, and GTM Bud saved it as the campaign playbook.
Open deals. Dev has a CRM connector in the same chat. He asked his AI to read his open opportunities from the CRM, then list the campaign leads and name every lead whose company appears in both. The AI found two, and Dev told it to remove them. The comparison is done by his AI with his CRM connector. GTM Bud does not read the CRM.
Five prompts for an AE
- “Which of my replies need an answer? Show the lead, the company and the last line they wrote. Do not write anything yet.”
- “Write an answer to this reply from my playbook. If they named a month, repeat the month back and propose one next step.”
- “List the leads this campaign contacts, 25 at a time, and mark every company that I named in my open deals note above.”
- “Give me the results for my territory campaign with the as-of time, in three lines that I can paste into my pipeline review.”
- “I am out Thursday and Friday. What changes if this campaign sends follow-ups only for two days? Apply it after I say yes.”
Three objections AEs raise
“My name is on every message. I will not hand that to a tool.” Then keep the two controls that exist. First, read the whole sequence before you confirm the launch. The launch preview shows the first message of each channel, and your AI can print the rest. Second, your AI shows every reply for review, and GTM Bud instructs it to send only the text you approved. That is an instruction to the AI and not a technical lock, so the review is your job, each time.
“It will hit my own accounts.” It might. GTM Bud’s LinkedIn searches skip people you are already connected to, and its sourcing leaves out people it already contacted for you and companies on your exclusion list, which you keep on gtmbud.com. It knows nothing about your CRM. Use the lead list and the remove tool in week one, as in the example above, and repeat the check when lead finding has added new people.
“I need meetings, not replies.” Fair. This runs the outreach and helps you answer each reply well. The calendar invite, the discovery call and the CRM record are still yours. This page gives no number for how many replies become meetings.
What stays outside the chat
You connect your LinkedIn account, pick it as the sending account for the campaign and set the sending schedule on gtmbud.com. The 14-day free trial starts when you launch your first campaign.
Setup
Add the connector to Claude with the steps on GTM Bud for Claude, or to ChatGPT with GTM Bud for ChatGPT. For the rules to put in your reply playbook, start from how to handle cold outreach replies. If your company pays for a Sales Navigator seat that you rarely open, read unused Sales Navigator seats.
Why outbound feels impossible for small teams
Your comp plan says 30 percent of pipeline is self-sourced, and your calendar says four demos and two contract reviews today
You block Friday afternoon for prospecting, and every Friday a deal that might close this month takes the block
The last week of the quarter fills with closing work, so the first month of the next quarter starts with an empty top of funnel
You write a good first message when you have twenty minutes, and you send eleven of them before the next call starts
A prospect answered on LinkedIn nine days ago, and you saw it today between two calls
That's exactly why we built GTM Bud.
How GTM Bud helps
Prospecting that does not wait for your calendar
Once you confirm the launch, GTM Bud finds leads that match your territory and sends connection requests and messages from your LinkedIn account on the schedule you set.
A reply queue you can clear between calls
Ask your AI which replies need an answer. It writes each answer from your reply playbook and shows it to you. You approve, edit or skip.
Your territory in one sentence
You describe the accounts you own in plain words. Your AI writes the criteria, GTM Bud checks them, and a preview of real people shows if the description matches your patch.

Frequently asked questions
Separate the two halves of the work. Finding people and sending the first messages can run as a campaign on your LinkedIn account. Reading replies and deciding what to say stays with you. With GTM Bud in Claude or ChatGPT, the first half continues during your deal days and the second half is a short daily review.
It can, if they match your audience. GTM Bud skips people you are already connected to in its LinkedIn searches, people it already contacted for you, and people at companies on your company exclusion list. You keep that list under Excluded companies on your account page on gtmbud.com. The connector has no tool to edit it and no CRM link, so add the companies of your open deals there, then check the lead list and remove anyone who is already in a deal.
This page does not make that claim either way. Your AI can list your connected sending accounts, and the list shows for each account if it has Sales Navigator access. Check the current account requirements on gtmbud.com before you plan around a seat you do not have.
Only if you show them. The campaign, the replies and the results belong to the GTM Bud account that you signed in with. There is no manager view in this setup. Ask your AI for the results and the sequence and paste them into your pipeline review.
Up to 40 replies a day for each LinkedIn account through the connector. Replies that you send from the GTM Bud Inbox count toward the same daily limit. An account executive with one account rarely gets near that. The limit that matters in practice is your own time to read each answer before you approve it.
Ask before you start. The campaign sends from your personal LinkedIn account under your name, and your employer may have rules about outreach tools, about claims in messages and about customer data in an AI app. Get the answer in writing from your manager or sales operations.
Your next meeting is one campaign away.
