Lusha vs Seamless AI: Two Kinds of Risk

Lusha vs Seamless AI compared on data, pricing, and risk: a 2 million euro GDPR fine on one side, a 60-day contract trap on the other. The 2026 verdict.

Disclosure: GTM Bud is our product. We include it alongside competitors to give you a complete picture, and we call out its limitations honestly.

Lusha vs Seamless AI is not a feature fight. It is a choice between two kinds of risk: Lusha sells a smaller, compliance-positioned database that an Italian regulator fined 2 million euros in July 2026, and Seamless.AI sells a vast real-time contact search engine wrapped in a quote-only annual contract with a reported 60-day exit window and a 1.4 Trustpilot score. The ratings, the prices, and the database claims in this category all need provenance before they settle anything, so this comparison names the source and date on every number, flags every figure published by a rival, and ends with the question both vendors skip.

We weigh these tools from the operator side. Our parent agency, Referral Program Pros, has booked over 7,000 meetings across more than 4,000 outbound campaigns, and we built GTM Bud on that agency playbook, backed by a written guarantee of 5 percent positive replies on LinkedIn or 1.5 percent on email, or a full refund. Contact data feeds every one of those campaigns, so we know where a lookup tool helps a pipeline and where it stops, and that filter runs through every verdict below. One sourcing note: both vendors’ own sites were unreachable from our research environment, so every figure rests on named third-party coverage and the public review platforms, with disagreements printed rather than resolved.

The short answer

Pick Lusha if you prospect contact by contact inside LinkedIn, lean on email, sell mostly into North America, and want monthly billing you can leave anytime: the entry is published, the free 40 monthly credits permit a real test, and the exit is self-serve. Pick Seamless.AI only if your motion is phone-first at high daily volume, you already own a verification and sending stack, and someone on your team negotiates contracts for a living, because the paid tiers are quote-only annual commitments with a reported five-seat minimum and a 60-day written-notice cancellation window, per Docket’s and Hackceleration’s 2026 reviews. The risks differ in kind: Lusha’s open question is regulatory, with Italy’s 2 million euro GDPR fine under appeal, while Seamless.AI’s is contractual, with billing disputes dominating its 1.4 Trustpilot score. Neither tool writes a message or books a meeting, and that gap decides more pipelines than either risk.

What are Lusha and Seamless.AI?

Lusha is a self-serve B2B contact data platform built around a browser extension: it reveals verified emails and phone numbers while you browse LinkedIn and company sites, serving records from a stored database, metered in credits at 1 per email and a disputed 5 to 10 per phone reveal, per Zeliq’s and Salesmotion’s 2026 guides against Lusha’s own help-center rate.

Seamless.AI is a real-time search engine for B2B contact data: instead of serving a stored record, it crawls and verifies emails and phone numbers at the moment you search, sold through sales conversations on annual contracts, with a credit deducted for every lookup attempt, including searches that return nothing usable, per multiple 2026 pricing breakdowns.

That architectural split drives the marketing of each. Lusha leads with trust and compliance; Seamless.AI leads with freshness and volume. The rest of this comparison tests both stories against third-party numbers.

Why can you price Lusha but you cannot price Seamless.AI?

Because only one vendor publishes a paid price at all, and the asymmetry tells you what each sales motion wants from you. Lusha’s reported 2026 ladder runs from the free 40-credit tier through Starter at $49.90 per month list, Pro on a credit slider from $52.45 to $174.95, and Premium from $299.95 to $659.95, per Zeliq and Salesmotion, at a near-flat 8 to 9 cents per credit by our own division of Salesmotion’s ladder. The entry sticker moves with promotions: named guides print $29 (Cleanlist, March 2026), about $37 (Cognism and Cleanlist), and $49.90 (Zeliq, July 2026) for the same tier, and the $29.90 figure some comparison shoppers find traces to a G2 vendor-supplied pricing page last updated November 2025, per Docket, which lists it as a Pro price that the live dashboard no longer matches. Trust your checkout page over any guide, ours included. Our Lusha pricing breakdown decodes the slider, the rollover fine print, and the disputed phone-reveal rate in full.

Seamless.AI publishes nothing for any paid plan. The public pricing page lists Free, Pro, and Enterprise with both paid tiers marked contact sales, per Docket’s and Lindy’s 2026 breakdowns, and the one visible price, $147 per month for Basic on annual billing, appears only after you create an account, per Lindy and Cleanlist. From there the reporting spreads: Pro carries a reported five-user minimum and a 12-month commitment, with signed deals between $4,740 and $9,000 per year per Docket, per-seat estimates of roughly $79 to $150 per month from Amplemarket and Lindy, negotiated outcomes reaching $147 to $299 per MarketBetter, and a realized total cost landing 40 to 60 percent above the base license once add-ons arrive, per Amplemarket’s 2026 analysis. Amplemarket competes with Seamless.AI, so weigh that source, but the structural point needs no rival to make it: when named observers spread that widely, the price is whatever you negotiate.

The credit meters differ too. Lusha’s monthly plans reportedly roll unused credits forward up to twice the monthly allocation while annual plans reset at renewal, per MarketBetter and Lusha billing documentation. Seamless.AI’s Pro credits reportedly refresh daily and expire at midnight, around 1,000 per user per day, per Derrick’s and Smarte’s 2026 guides, so weekends and slow weeks forfeit allowance you already paid for.

Compliance positioning against volume positioning: whose data story holds up?

The vendors tell opposite stories about the same job. ZoomInfo’s own comparison of the pair, and ZoomInfo competes with both, frames the choice as accuracy and compliance weight on Lusha’s side against raw scale on Seamless.AI’s, relaying Lusha’s claim of more than 280 million contacts sourced from business-only communities and trusted partners. That 280 million figure is already dated: Lusha’s own marketing listed 515 million-plus verified contacts as of an October 2026 fact page, after 2026 relays from Salesmotion and LaGrowthMachine printed 280 and 300 million just months earlier, a moving target with no independent audit behind any waypoint. The sourcing story is contested too: FullEnrich, another rival, lists web scraping of public sources alongside user-contributed data and partnerships when describing where Lusha’s records come from, so we print the dispute rather than either version.

What is not contested is that the compliance posture met a regulator. Italy’s data protection authority, the Garante, fined Lusha 2 million euros in a decision adopted July 14, 2026, finding legitimate interest an inadequate legal basis for the database and ordering deletion of its data on people in Italy, per PPC Land and EmailExpert. Lusha is challenging the decision, and a Court of Rome interim order in September 2026 took it off the regulator’s website while the appeal runs, so the outcome is open. Note also that compliance positioning is not coverage: reviewers on Lusha’s G2 listing flag EMEA and APAC coverage gaps as a recurring theme, so a European compliance story does not guarantee European contacts.

Seamless.AI’s volume story scales larger and audits worse. Docket’s May 2026 review relays the company’s claim of the category’s largest database at more than 1.3 billion contacts while noting other company marketing cites 1.7 billion-plus, and no independent audit supports either figure. Both vendors market 98 percent accuracy claims, both self-reported. Third-party reports land lower on both: user-reported bands of 80 to 90 percent on Lusha emails per SyncGTM’s 2026 review, with rival-published tests from Cleanlist and Saleshandy at 70 to 81 percent, against 60 to 75 percent email accuracy, 45 to 60 percent on phones, and 20 to 30 percent bounce rates commonly cited for Seamless.AI, per MarketBetter’s 2026 analysis of aggregated G2, Capterra, and Reddit threads. Whichever you buy, run every email through a verifier before it touches an inbox, and judge by the bounce rate on your own list.

What does the rating gap between Lusha and Seamless.AI actually measure?

Less than it appears to, once the platforms are read separately. On G2, where reviewers are verified users, the gap nearly vanishes: the Seamless.AI listing holds 4.4 across 5,356 reviews against Lusha’s 4.3 across 1,663, per the G2 comparison page as of October 2026, so active users rate the two products within a tenth of a point. Capterra splits wider, 4.5 for Seamless.AI across 484 to 587 reviews in 2026 snapshots against Lusha’s 4.0 across 398 per Supered’s October 2026 snapshot. One complaint theme does separate them on G2’s comparison page: inaccurate-data mentions run 410 for Seamless.AI against 38 for Lusha, and by our own division against each review count that is roughly 8 percent of Seamless.AI reviewers versus about 2 percent of Lusha’s, a proportional gap the star ratings hide.

Both Trustpilot scores are terrible, and for different reasons, which is the most useful fact in the whole record. Lusha’s 1.2 across 776 reviews, 57 percent of them one-star per Supered’s October 2026 snapshot, is dominated by people who found their own details in the database rather than by customers: a data-sourcing grievance, the same one the Garante acted on. Seamless.AI’s 1.4 across 289 reviews on its Trustpilot listing as of October 2026 is dominated by billing and cancellation complaints from actual customers: auto-renewals, no self-serve cancellation, and the reported 60-day written-notice window, the record our Seamless.AI legitimacy verdict reads in full, alongside the 79 complaints Docket counts on the company’s Better Business Bureau profile over three years. Read the two 1-point-something scores as different warnings: Lusha’s tells you how the database was built, Seamless.AI’s tells you how the contract behaves.

Which should you pick?

Your situationVerdict
Small team, email-led, LinkedIn prospecting, US ICPLusha; test the free 40 credits against your list first and stay on monthly billing
Phone-first team of five or more, own sending stackSeamless.AI can earn the contract; negotiate the seats and calendar the exit 90 days before renewal
ICP weighted toward EuropeCaution on both; Lusha’s Italian ruling is unresolved, and verify coverage before compliance posture
Team under five without a procurement habitLusha by default; the quote-only five-seat annual structure prices in headcount you do not have
The budget line is booked meetings, not lookupsNeither; a lookup tool is raw material, and the campaign work stays on your side of either meter

The honest tiebreaker for most small teams is reversibility. Lusha’s worst case is a wasted month of credits; Seamless.AI’s worst case, per its own complaint record, is a renewed year you tried to cancel. Only one of those mistakes costs four figures.

Neither tool runs the campaign

Here is what the versus framing hides: whichever vendor wins, you have bought reveals, not replies. Someone still defines the ideal customer profile tightly enough that the list is worth building, verifies the exports, writes messages that earn answers, sends on LinkedIn and email, and chases follow-ups for weeks. Neither Lusha nor Seamless.AI automates a single send or writes a word of copy. Based on data from over 4,000 outbound campaigns run by our parent agency, Referral Program Pros, targeting and message quality move reply rates far more than any difference between data vendors, and both of those jobs sit outside every Lusha and Seamless.AI tier at any price.

GTM Bud inverts the purchase. You define your ideal customer profile, and the AI outbound sales tool researches matching prospects, sources and verifies contact data inside each campaign, writes personalized messages from the playbooks our agency runs daily, and executes coordinated LinkedIn and email sequences through to booked meetings, at a flat $600 per month per connected LinkedIn account covering up to 1,000 leads contacted, on a 14-day trial, with the guarantee stated at the top. The honest limitation is the mirror image of both tools here: there is no database to browse and no export button, so a recruiter or cold-calling team that needs raw lists should buy one of the tools above and never think about us.

Frequently asked questions about Lusha vs Seamless AI

Is Lusha or Seamless.AI more accurate?

Neither vendor proves its claim: both market 98 percent accuracy figures that are self-reported with no independent audit. Third-party reports land lower for both, with user-reported bands of 80 to 90 percent on Lusha emails per SyncGTM’s 2026 review and rival-published tests at 70 to 81 percent, against 60 to 75 percent email accuracy and 20 to 30 percent bounce rates for Seamless.AI per MarketBetter’s 2026 analysis. Inaccurate-data complaints also run proportionally higher on Seamless.AI’s G2 page as of October 2026. Test both free tiers against the same 50 contacts from your own list before paying either.

Can you use Lusha and Seamless.AI together?

Technically yes, but the pairing rarely makes sense because the products overlap almost completely: both are credit-metered lookup tools with Chrome extensions and CRM pushes. Running both means two meters and two subscriptions, one of them locked into an annual contract with a reported 60-day cancellation window. Teams wanting a second source usually pair one lookup tool with a waterfall enrichment platform or a dedicated verifier instead of buying twice from the same category.

Is Lusha GDPR compliant after the Italian fine?

Unresolved. The Garante fined Lusha 2 million euros in a decision adopted July 14, 2026, finding legitimate interest an inadequate legal basis for its database, per PPC Land and EmailExpert, and Lusha’s challenge put the decision on hold via a September 2026 Court of Rome interim order. Lusha still publishes GDPR and CCPA compliance frameworks, and under GDPR you remain the data controller with either vendor, so your own lawful basis and opt-out process are required regardless of where the appeal lands.

Can you cancel Seamless.AI anytime?

Not on the paid annual plans. Cancellation reportedly requires written notice roughly 60 days before the annual renewal date and is not self-serve from the dashboard, per Hackceleration, Docket, and MarketBetter 2026 reviews and the company’s Better Business Bureau complaint records. Missing the window reportedly renews the contract for another year. Lusha is the opposite on this dimension, with self-serve monthly billing available, so the exit stays open.

Do Lusha or Seamless.AI send LinkedIn messages for you?

No. Lusha reveals contact details while you browse LinkedIn, and Seamless.AI’s Chrome extension researches profiles rather than messaging them, so list building, copy, sending, and follow-up stay on your side with both. If LinkedIn is your primary channel, you either bolt a separate automation layer onto the data tool or use LinkedIn outreach automation that runs the sequences natively and sources the contact data inside each campaign.

Put the budget on replies, not reveals

The Lusha vs Seamless AI decision resolves once you name the risk you can live with. Lusha offers published prices, monthly exits, and a usable free test, carrying an unresolved regulatory question over how its database was built. Seamless.AI offers scale and real-time freshness for phone-first volume, carrying a quote-only annual contract whose 60-day exit window fills its own complaint record. Verified users rate the two products nearly level on G2, 4.4 against 4.3 as of October 2026, so the ratings will not decide this for you; the contract terms and your channel mix will. And if what your budget actually needs is booked meetings, remember that both meters stop at the reveal. See how automated lead generation works with GTM Bud: sourcing and verification built into every campaign, flat monthly pricing, a 14-day trial, and a written guarantee of 5 percent positive replies on LinkedIn or 1.5 percent on email, or a full refund.
