Your recruiters fill roles. Nobody wins the next job order. Run client BD without taking anyone off a search.

The founder or BD lead of a recruiting or staffing firm with 3 to 20 recruiters can keep business development steady by running LinkedIn outreach to hiring managers from Claude or ChatGPT. This is client acquisition: the audience is hiring managers and talent leaders, not candidates. You describe the hiring managers in one sentence, check real prospects before launch, and review every reply before it is sent.

The short answer for a recruiting firm

A recruiting or staffing firm can keep client BD steady without taking recruiters off searches if one person runs outreach to hiring managers through an AI assistant and a campaign sends between sessions. With GTM Bud, you describe the hiring managers in one sentence from Claude or ChatGPT, check real prospects before launch, and review each reply before it is sent.

To be plain about scope: this is client acquisition. The people in the campaign are hiring managers and talent leaders who could give your firm a job order. It is not candidate sourcing, and nothing on this page helps you find or message candidates.

This page is for the founder or the BD lead of a firm with 3 to 20 recruiters. A solo recruiter can use the same steps. A large staffing company with a dedicated sales floor needs more than this page describes.

Three situations this is built for

The firm wants to open a new vertical. You have no clients there and no network. A campaign gives you conversations with the people who hire in that vertical, and their replies tell you how they buy before you hire a recruiter for it.

Recruiters source candidates but nobody does client BD. That is not a discipline problem. The pay plan rewards placements, so BD loses. Take it off the desks and give it to one person with a system.

Job orders dried up. The searches in progress hide the gap until they close. A campaign that runs all the time means the next job order is in conversation before the current one is filled.

Five prompts a founder or BD lead can use

  • “Create a campaign draft for directors of nursing and clinic operations directors at outpatient surgery centers and specialty clinic groups with 50 to 500 employees in Florida and Georgia. Show me the criteria check.”
  • “Read our firm website and my LinkedIn profile and set the seller profile of this campaign. Tell me which roles and which industries you think we place.”
  • “Preview who matches. I will mark anyone in talent acquisition at a hospital system as Not a fit, so tell me if you see that pattern.”
  • “Save a campaign playbook: we never name a candidate in chat, we do not discuss fees before a call, and a hiring manager who mentions an open role is offered a 15 minute intake call with me on a Wednesday or a Thursday.”
  • “Give me the results for each vertical campaign with the as-of time, and list every Interested reply that mentions a role by name.”

A worked example: one vertical, start to results

The firm in this example has eight recruiters and places nurses and surgical technologists in permanent roles. The founder does all BD. The names below are invented.

The audience sentence. “Directors of nursing and clinic operations directors at outpatient surgery centers and specialty clinic groups with 50 to 500 employees in Florida and Georgia.”

What the criteria check said. The check passed the criteria. The AI then asked two questions. First, “director of nursing” is also a common title at nursing homes and at hospitals, and the AI asked if those should be included. The founder said no: hospitals in that market buy through vendor programs that the firm is not part of. Second, the AI asked if a clinic group should be counted by total employees or by one location. The founder chose the whole group. The sentence gained “not hospitals, hospital systems or nursing homes”.

Two previewed prospects.

  • Renee A., Director of Nursing at an orthopedic surgery center group with about 220 employees in Tampa. Marked Good fit: she hires the roles the firm places, and the group is small enough to work with a firm directly.
  • Carl D., Talent Acquisition Partner at a hospital system with about 9,000 employees in Atlanta. Marked Not a fit: a hospital system, far above the size range, and it buys through a vendor program.

One value offer. “Three anonymized profiles of operating room nurses who can start in your county within 30 days, with years of experience and current shift type.” The firm can make this from the candidates its desks already speak to. GTM Bud gave its instructions for value offers, the AI researched the firm website and wrote the offer, and GTM Bud checked and saved it.

One reply draft. A lead wrote: “We use two agencies already. Why add a third?” The AI followed the campaign playbook (no candidate names, no fees in chat, offer the intake call on a day that the playbook holds) and wrote:

“Fair, Renee. I would not ask you to replace either one. We place operating room staff only, so we are useful for the one role that stays open longest. If you have one like that now, a 15 minute intake call is enough for me to send three profiles. Would Wednesday work?”

The founder removed “that stays open longest”, because she did not know that about this center, and approved the rest. The AI then sent that exact text.

The results question. “For the surgery center campaign, how many replies are Interested as of now, and which of them named a role they need to fill?”

Three objections recruiting firms raise

“Hiring managers get ten recruiter messages a week. Ours will be the eleventh.” That is true if the message says what the other ten say. The preview and the value offer are where you can be different: a narrow audience that you really place for, and an offer that the hiring manager can use without signing anything. This page gives you no reply number, because the result depends on your vertical, your offer and your desks. If the offer is a generic “we have great candidates”, the tool will not save it.

“We want to target only companies with open roles right now.” You give the audience as a description of role, company type, size and region. A qualifier such as “currently hiring nurses” may not be readable for every company, and the criteria check flags a part that cannot be read from a profile, a company page or public web content, with a suggested rewrite. The connector does not take an upload of a list that you built from job postings. Use the prospect preview to see who really matches, and let the reply playbook ask the timing question.

“Our recruiters own their client relationships. Will this cross wires?” It can, and the tool does not prevent it for you. The setup is one GTM Bud account that the founder or BD lead signs in to and runs. This page does not promise a login for each recruiter or a sync with your ATS. Before launch, check previewed prospects against your client list and mark current clients Not a fit. Agree one handoff rule: when a hiring manager names a role, who takes the intake call.

What stays outside the chat

Connecting LinkedIn accounts, choosing the sending accounts for a campaign, and setting the sending schedule are done on gtmbud.com. The 14-day free trial starts when you launch your first campaign. GTM Bud focuses on Sales Navigator accounts, so check which seat the sending account has before you plan around it.

Where this fits with our other recruiting pages

For the wider case for outbound in recruiting, read outreach for recruiting firms. For how the sending side works in general, read LinkedIn outreach automation. This page covers one narrower thing: a founder or BD lead who runs the firm’s own client BD from an AI assistant.

Setup and the full capability list

Setup takes a few minutes: add the connector to Claude with the steps on GTM Bud for Claude, or to ChatGPT with the steps on GTM Bud for ChatGPT. In short, your AI can build a campaign from an audience sentence, launch it after you confirm, show results per campaign, and write replies for your review. For everything else, see the GTM Bud connector page.

Why outbound feels impossible for small teams

Every recruiter is paid on placements, so the hour that would go to client BD always goes to a candidate call

Job orders dried up this quarter, and the firm found out only when the desks ran out of open searches

You want to open a new vertical, and you know nobody who hires in it

Three clients send most of your job orders, and one of them just moved to an internal talent team

BD happens in bursts after a bad month, then stops the day the first new search arrives

That's exactly why we built GTM Bud.

How GTM Bud helps

BD that runs while recruiters search

A launched campaign reaches hiring managers on the schedule you set. Recruiters stay on their searches, and the founder or BD lead reviews the replies.

One campaign for each vertical

Describe the hiring managers of one vertical in a sentence, check real matching people, then duplicate the campaign for the next vertical and change only the audience.

An offer a hiring manager can use

Your AI writes value offers from what your firm really can deliver, such as a shortlist or a salary snapshot. GTM Bud checks and saves them.

How GTM Bud works

1

We find your ideal clients

Tell us who you want to reach. We build a list of best-fit leads matched to your ideal client profile using real activity signals, not just job titles.

2

Our proven system runs the campaign

Built from the playbook that booked 7,000+ meetings at our parent agency. Every sequence, timing, and touchpoint is battle-tested.

3

Connect your accounts and go

Link your LinkedIn and email. We handle the multi-channel sequence: connection requests, DMs, emails, all timed and spaced so nothing feels spammy.

Most tools hand you a database and wish you luck. GTM Bud gives you the leads, the messages, and the strategy. You just show up and close.
